What is Network?
What do you mean by network?. You are going to study CCNA from the nery basics.
A network is
interconnection of devices (computers, telephones etc.) That communicates with standard rules in
order to share the resources. The computer network connects two or more devices
in order to share resources such as
- Databases
- Documents
- VOIP, Video Conferences
- Online Banking
- Social Networking
In the above figure two computers are connected via NIC
(Network Interface Card) to share the resources. How can we expand this
network ?, adding different NIC for each network is not a scalable solution, so
can we consider the centralized devices for interconnecting to different
networks. Yes from this thought HUBs invented.
